Melissa Dvorsky, Ph.D.
Melissa Dvorsky, Ph.D., graduated from the child/adolescent concentration of the clinical psychology program at VCU in the Spring of 2018. Melissa received her B.A. in psychology from Ohio University in 2010. She worked for two years as a research coordinator at the University South Carolina before she began her graduate work at VCU in 2012. Melissa's research has focused on developmental psychology in youth, adolescents, and emerging adults with ADHD and in particular, protective factors associated with adaptive and successful outcomes for this population. She is also interested in the development and evaluation of effective community- and school-based treatment strategies for youth with ADHD. Melissa recently completed a $29,400 grant from the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth which funded her dissertation work and focused on protective factors during the transition to college for adolescents with and without ADHD. She will be completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.
