My research focuses on the emotional and social functioning of children and adolescents with ADHD, with a focus on emotion regulation. Recent projects have examined emotion regulation and physiological reactivity of children with ADHD, the role of parent emotion socialization in children’s emotion regulation, and various factors (e.g., parental knowledge and attitudes about ADHD and treatment, comorbid child psychopathology, treatment satisfaction, skill acquisition) impacting treatment utilization and adherence and treatment outcomes among youth with ADHD and their families. I am currently in the process of refining and piloting the RELAX (Regulating Emotions Like An eXpert) intervention targeting emotional regulation and family conflict in families of adolescents with ADHD.
